Look out, Kayle is back and better than ever!

We’re in the final stretch of 5.2! What has been your favorite part of this patch? Personally, I’m a big fan of Mordekaiser. But enough reminiscing something that hasn’t even ended yet. We got the Kayle rework lined up for you, and of course your regularly scheduled balance updates. Welcome to patch 5.2d.

CHAMPION CHANGES

KAYLE

It’s Kayle rework time! We’re shortening her ult channel time, as well as lengthening the duration of the blade rain. This should allow players to ult and continue fighting smoothly. Kayle will also be able to ascend earlier, allowing her to reach her final form faster. Try her out and let us know what you think!

Divine Ascent

  • Champion level for Ascension: 1/5/10/15 → 1/5/9/13

Radiant Blast

  • Armor and Magic Resist reduction: 15% → 20%

  • Damage: 60/110/160/210 + 60% bonus Attack Damage + 50% Ability Power → 70/120/170/220 + 60% bonus Attack Damage + 50% Ability Power

Celestial Blessing

  • Heal: 70/110/150/190 + 30% Ability Power → 80/120/160/200 + 40% Ability Power

Starfire Spellblade

  • [New] Deal 60% damage to monsters

Divine Judgment

  • [Adjustment] The channeling time of Divine Judgment is shortened from 1.5s to 0.5s

  • [Adjustment] Time of blades falling is prolonged from 1.5s to 2.5s

LULU

Lulu is a shielding machine which makes her difficult to lane against. We’re adjusting numbers to ensure she’s still reasonable to lane against.

Pix, Faerie Companion

  • Damage: 7.5 + 7.5 per Level + 15% Ability Power → 6 + 6 per Level + 15% Ability Power

Wild Growth

  • Cooldown: 75/60/45s → 80/70/60s

YUUMI

Yuumi is a superstar in supporting her Marksmen. We’re slightly decreasing her buffs to her best friend to leave room for her enemies to fight back.

Base Stat

  • Base Attack Damage:58 → 50

Bop 'N' Block

  • Shield value: 50+ 10 per Level + 25% Ability Power → 35 + 10 Per Level + 15% Ability Power

Zoomies

  • Movement speed gained:15% + 0.05% Ability Power → 15% + 0.03% Ability Power

  • Attack speed gained:30/35/40/45%→ 20/25/30/35%

SETT

We’re boosting Sett’s damage early, as well as the damage of his Haymaker so he can make a big impact in Lane.

Base Stat

  • Attack Damage:58 → 62

Haymaker

  • Damage: 80/105/130/155 + (25% + 0.25% bonus Attack Damage) Grit consumed → 80/105/130/155 + (25% + 0.275% bonus Attack Damage) Grit consumed

  • Upper limit of Grit stack: 45% maximum Health → 50% maximum Health

SYNDRA

We’re increasing Syndra’s splinters as well as buffing her damage so she can keep up with the current pace of the game.

Base Stat

  • Health per Level: 96 → 104

Transcendent

  • Gain Splinters when upgrading abilities: 2 → 4 (gain 60 Splinters in total upon level 15)

Unleashed Power

  • Damage of each Dark Sphere: 60/105/150 + 15% Ability Power → 60/110/160 + 15% Ability Power

  • Total Maximum Damage: 420/735/1050 + 105% Ability Power → 420/770/1120 + 105% Ability Power

  • Explosive damage upon taking down (after Transcendent): 60/105/150 + 15% Ability Power → 60/110/160 + 15% Ability Power

ORNN

Ornn hasn’t been popping off lately which makes it hard for him to collect enough gold for his forge. We’re boosting his laning phase damage.

Base Stats

  • Attack Damage:58 → 62

Volcanic Rupture

  • Damage: 15/50/85/120 + 110% Attack Damage → 25/60/95/130 + 110% Attack Damage

Bellows Breath

  • Damage under Fragile status: 5%~20% maximum Health → 7%~22% maximum Health

  • Minimum damage to minions: 80/130/180/230 → 90/140/190/240


GAMEPLAY CHANGES

ITEMS

ENCHANTMENT: RAVENOUS HYDRA

Ravenous Hydra is a popular Enchantment but we’re finding it’s stats not impactful enough. We’re increasing its damage and Health restoration while increasing it’s cooldown slightly to balance it out.

Ravenous Crescent (active)

  • Deal adaptive damage (110% Attack Damage + 30% Ability Power) and restore Health by 30% of the damage dealt. (6s cooldown) → Deal adaptive damage (140% Attack Damage +30% Ability Power) and restore Health by 60% of the damage dealt. (10s cooldown)

SYSTEM CHANGES

GALIO’S AEGIS - LIMITED TIME (BETA)

Players that lose a match will not lose ranking if they achieve S-Level rating.

  • S-Level rating compensation takes precedence over events and Ranked Loss Shields cards. If triggered, will not consume those cards or event bonuses.

Players that lose a match will be compensated for 50% of their current Rank Fortitude if they achieve A-Level rating.

  • Ranked Loss Shields and A-Level rating compensation can trigger at the same time

  • If there is an event that compensates for loss and it is triggered, A-Level rating compensation will not occur.

Players will need to meet the following conditions to receive Galio’s Aegis

  • Platinum rank or above

  • Match duration is greater or equal to 600s

  • No negative behavior during the match

This is an experimental change we are making to help players who perform well in their games even if it results in a game loss. As you experience Galio’s Aegis, please share your thoughts with us as we are constantly looking to improve your ranked experience!
