Position Preference is coming to unranked PvP
Starting in Patch 2.5, we’re introducing Position Preference to unranked PvP games!
As a reminder: Before you get into a match, order your preferred positions (solo, jungle, mid, duo, support) from most to least preferred. From there, matchmaking will prioritize one of your top positions most of the time. It’s still possible to get any position, but you’ll have more control over your preferences, even if you don’t get your top choice.
We want to offer players in unranked PvP games the ability to have more control over their chosen lane, and with matchmaking upgrades on the horizon, we feel confident that this won’t negatively impact queue times or matchmaking fairness.
While Position Preference will be enabled during Patch 2.5, unranked PvP matches will remain blind pick, and will not feature champion bans. We made this decision because we want to make sure players can get into unranked games quickly. We’re looking forward to your feedback on this change!
