Welcome to Patch 7.0b! This patch is extra special as we’ll be releasing our first to the Rift champion, Norra! So go grab a cup of hot tea, snuggle up, read the Patch Notes and go queue up to play the latest Yordle on the Rift.

NEW CHAMPION

NORRA, THE PORTAL MISTRESS  

Norra, the Portal Mistress, is a whimsical yordle enchantress from Bandle City. Once the beloved custodian of the Book of Thresholds, Norra’s curiosity got the best of her when she explored its mysterious final chapter, which whisked her away to unknown lands. Lost—and without her book to guide her—Norra tinkers with her own spellbinding portalwork, searching for a way home. She longs for respite amongst the Bandle City groves, and a cup of tea shared with her faithful cat companion, Yuumi.

Norra will be released on February 4 at 00:01 UTC.

Arena

It’s the moment you’ve all been waiting for…Goldie is about to descend into Arena! It brings a brand-new gameplay experience and atmosphere to Arena. We can’t wait for you to experience it!

Easter Egg: Here Comes the Fortune Beast

In Round 2, you can accumulate Ingots by choosing a specific path. As the number of Ingots stored in the Prosperity Pot increases, the quality of the Prosperity Pot will also improve. You can view your Prosperity Pot during rest rounds and open it at any time. Once opened, you’ll receive one set of random rewards corresponding to its current tier. Each game, the Prosperity Pot can only be opened once.

In Round 2, you may choose one of the following four main paths, each offering different ways to earn Ingots:

Steady Wins the Race

  • Gain Ingots per round.

Lucky Guess

  • Predict the winner of the next battle to earn Ingots. If your guess is wrong, you still receive some of the reward. Rewards increase each round.

Stoneborn

  • At the end of battle, gain Ingots per anvil stack you have.

Domination

  • Gain Ingots on takedown.

Goldie's Mischief

  • Goldie assists you in battle, eating enemies below 10% Health and granting you 100 Ingots. Triggers 1 time per round.

Touch of Gold

  • When you correctly predict the winner, gain and draw a random Augment from that team, taking effect in the next round.

  • Only in the Lucky Guess path.

Rain of Fortune

  • Auspicious clouds gather, granting a large amount of gold every second and damaging nearby enemies.

  • Only in Prosperity Pot rewards at 1600 stacks or higher.

Item Adjustments

Manamune/Winter's Approach/Archangel's Staff

  • Mana gained per stack of Tear of the Goddess: 30/36/45 → 100

Lightning Rod

  • Fixed reduction to Automatic effects cooldown: 1s → 0.8s
