Wild Rift Patch Notes 4.4d
Last patch of the year, are you ready?! We got a Ziggs rework coming your way, plus new skins, new event, and of course, your regularly scheduled balance updates.
CHAMPION CHANGES
AATROX
Our recent buffs to Aatrox have made him a popular pick. But he’s been trampling through the jungle. This adjustment will bring back balance to nature.
THE DARKIN BLADE
- [New] Damage to monsters: 70%
AMUMU
Amumu’s experience in the jungle has been a bit of a sad tale. These changes will hopefully cheer him up a little (or at least you).
Bandage Toss
- Charging time: 14/13.5/13/12.5s → 12/11.5/11/10.5s
Tantrum
- Damage: 90/120/150/180 + 50% Ability Power → 110/140/170/200 + 50% Ability Power
DARIUS
Do you suffer from buyer’s remorse? This is a QOL adjustment that will make casting Darius’ ult feel a little less like a waste if it fizzles out early... Darius changes will be available January 4 at 00:01 UTC.
NOXIAN GUILLOTINE
- When casting Noxian Guillotine and the target dies, moves out of range, becomes untargetable, or activates Zhonya’s Hourglass or Guardian Angel, the mana cost will be refunded and go on a 5s cooldown.
FIDDLESTICKS
Sorry guys, it’s still TOO scary. These adjustments will make sure we stop shaking in our boots when we see the enemy pick Fiddlesticks in champ select.
TERRIFY
- Fear duration: 1/1.2/1.4/1.6s → 1/1.1/1.2/1.3s
BOUNTIFUL HARVEST
- Damage to monsters: 185% → 160%
GAREN
To keep Demacia in balance, we had to give Garen the same QOL as Darius. Garen changes will be available January 4 at 00:01 UTC.
Demacian Justice
- When casting Demacian Justice and the target dies, moves out of range, becomes untargetable, or activates Zhonya’s Hourglass or Guardian Angel, the mana cost will be refunded and go on a 5s Cooldown.
JAYCE
Jayce hasn’t been as dominant in Lane as we had hoped. These changes will make it easier for him to snowball, and the jungle adjustment will make sure he doesn’t clear camps too quickly.

- Health per Level: 105 → 112

- Damage: 60/110/160/210/260 + 130% bonus Attack Damage → 70/120/170/220/270 + 140% bonus Attack Damage
- [New] Damage to monsters: 50%
Shock Blast(Mercury Hammer)
- Damage: 70/140/210/280/350 + 130% bonus Attack Damage → 70/140/210/280/350 + 140% bonus Attack Damage
- [New] Damage to monsters: 50%
KAYN
Kayn’s ult is also receiving a little TLC. We’re really digging the QOL changes, can you tell?
UMBRAL TRESPASS
- [New] When Kayn is in his Darkin form, infesting a target with Umbral Trespass and the target dies, ending the infestation in advance, the ult will still trigger the health regeneration.
KHA'ZIX
With these adjustments, Kha’Zix will be slaying even more ruthlessly than before!
UNSEEN THREAT
- Damage: 6 + 8 per level + 40% bonus Attack Damage → 10 + 8 per level + 50% bonus Attack Damage
LUCIAN
Lucian is another one who’s been off the mark lately. We’re hoping these changes will make for a stronger late game but still ensure he doesn’t overwhelm his opponents early on.
BASE STATS
- Growth Attack Damage: 3 → 4
PIERCING LIGHT
- Damage: 110/150/190/230 + 60/80/100/120% bonus Attack Damage → 100/145/190/235 + 65/85/105/125% bonus Attack Damage
MALPHITE
AP Malphite is a hit with you guys, but what about tank Malphite? We’ve tweaked his scaling a bit so both get the love they deserve.
Granite Shield
- Shield: 9% maximum Health → 11% maximum Health
Thunderclap
- Passive armor bonus: 15/20/25/30% → 20/25/30/35%
- Damage of the first empowered attack: 30/50/70/90 + 40% Ability Power + 20% armor→ 30/50/70/90 + 40% Ability Power + 30% armor
- Damage of following attacks: 10/20/30/40 + 20% Ability Power + 10% armor → 10/20/30/40 + 20% Ability Power + 15% armor
MISS FORTUNE
Miss Fortune has been rather unlucky in the Dragon Lane. Hopefully, these changes will let her spin her wheel of fortune.
BASE STATS
- Base Attack Damage: 54 → 58
- Base Mana: 390 → 420
- Mana per Level: 41 → 50
NILAH
Nilah has been washing out her opponents way faster than they can paddle. These changes will put a little dam on her.
FORMLESS BLADE
- Damage to monsters: 60% → 25%
ORIANNA
The ball is angry… and doing a little too much damage. These changes will make her easier to roll with.
BASE STATS
- Health per Level: 115 → 104
Clockwork Windup
- Bonus magic damage on attacks: 10+ 3 per Level + 15% Ability Power → 5+ 3 per Level + 15% Ability Power
Command: Shockwave
- Damage: 150/225/300 + 70% of Ability Power → 200/275/350 + 75% of Ability Power
PYKE
We’re adjusting Pyke to let him rip through his enemies even easier, especially in a group setting.
PHANTOM UNDERTOW
- Damage: 120/170/220/270 + 100% bonus Attack Damage → 120/175/230/285 + 100% bonus Attack Damage
DEATH FROM BELOW
- Pyke gains gold if his allies assist in takedowns: 140% → 160%
- Pyke gains gold if enemies are slain by his allies in the X-shaped area: 140% → 160%
SAMIRA
Samira does well early on, but falls off mid and late game. We’re giving her a little boost to make sure her impact keeps up with her confidence.
BASE STATS
- Armor per Level: 3.9 → 4.5
- Magic Resistance per Level: 0.8 → 1
FLAIR
- Damage: 15/20/25/30 + 90/105/120/135% Attack Damage → 20/25/30/35 + 95/110/125/140% Attack Damage
SONA
Sona is a master of recasting her chords like rapidfire, giving enemies a hard time. We’ve fine-tuned her, as well as her healing and shielding scaling to make sure she’s not deafening her opponents.
Power Chord
- Cooldown reduction of basic skills: 2%~30% → 2%~20%
Aria of Perseverance
- Life regeneration: 20/35/50/60 + 20% Ability Power → 25/40/55/70 + 20% Ability Power
- Shield: 20/50/80/110 + 20% of Ability Power → 25/50/75/100 + 18% of Ability Power
Crescendo
- Passive enhanced aura effect: 30% → 20%
- Each soundwave damage: 40/70/100 + 15% Ability Power → 35/60/85 + 15% Ability Power
- Slow: 35/40/45% → 25/30/35%
THRESH
Darius gets a QOL change, Kayn gets a QOL change, Garen gets a QOL change, everybody gets a QOL change! (Everybody being Thresh.) Let’s see those hooks fly! Thresh changes will be available January 4 at 00:01 UTC.
DEATH SENTENCE
- [New] During the windup of Death Sentence, Thresh won’t immediately turn towards the casting direction of Death Sentence.
TRYNDAMERE
Tryndamere has been performing poorly, especially at higher ranks. These adjustments will make it easier for him to stay within striking distance of his enemies.
Mocking Shout
- Slow: 15/20/25/30% → 25/30/35/40%
Spinning Slash
- Cooldown: 12/11/10/9s → 11/10/9/8s
- Damage: 80/120/160/200 +130% bonus Attack Damage + 100% Ability Power → 80/120/160/200 + 135% bonus Attack Damage + 100% Ability Power
URGOT
Urgot has to be within a leg’s reach to deal damage, exposing him to counter-attacks. We’re increasing his survivability to make sure he can wreak havoc for longer.
DISDAIN
- Cooldown: 15/14/13/12s → 14/13/12/11s
- Shield: 60/90/120/150 + 150% bonus Attack Damage + 15% bonus health → 70/100/130/160+150% bonus Attack Damage + 15% bonus health
FEAR BEYOND DEATH
- Cooldown: 70/60/50s → 60/55/50s
VLADIMIR
Not many things age finer than Vladimir on the Rift. A bit too fine maybe. We’re watering him down a bit to make him a bit more palatable.
TRANSFUSION
- Damage: 80/110/140/170 + 60% Ability Power → 70/100/130/160 + 60% Ability Power
- Crimson Dash causes extra damage ratio: 85% → 75%
SANGUINE POOL
- Movement speed increased: 35% → 27.5%
ZIGGS
Boom goes the dynamite! We hope these changes will let him blow up turrets and enemies! Ziggs rework will be available January 4 at 00:01 UTC.
Short Fuse
- [Removed] Enhances Ziggs’ next attack to deal an additional 30 + 30% Ability Power ~ 170 + 50% Ability Power magic damage. The enhanced attack deals 150% damage to turrets.
- [New] Passive: all of Ziggs’ abilities can deal 15% damage to turrets.
- [New] Enhanced Bouncing Bomb, deal 17+ 3 per level + 20% Ability Power additional magic damage, 20% to turrets.
Satchel Charge
- [New] The icon indicator to demolish turrets will be visible on the whole map, as well as in the Fog of War.
- [New] Will now display an execution line on turrets when they can be demolished.
- [New] The charge can be detonated while in the air.
Mega Inferno Bomb
- [Removed] Mega Inferno Bomb will deal (300/450/600 + 105% Ability Power) magic damage to enemies in the center blast zone, while enemies outside of the center take 66.7% damage.
- [New] Mega Inferno Bomb will deal (270/375/480 + 85% Ability Power) magic damage to enemies in the blast zone.
- [New] Smart cast expands the range of searching targets to the full range of the ability.
