Wild Rift Patch Notes 7.0a

It’s time for a balance patch for some champions, AAA ARAM, and more.

Welcome to Patch 7.0a. This patch we’re following up to Patch 7.0’s launch with some balance adjustments across the Rift and AAA ARAM, as well as adding some new Augments to AAA ARAM.

Reminder: content will be released throughout the patch.


LEGENDARY COLLECTION 

There is currently a bug where within the Legendary Collection system shows that Lunar Empress Morgana Exquisite Edition only has 10 days left, however the skin will be available until April 7 and Limited-Time Wild Cores can be earned until the end of Patch 7.0


CHAMPION CHANGES

FIZZ

We’ve made some adjustments to Fizz’s kit so that his attacks hit their mark, rather than just making waves.

Urchin Strike

  • Optimized the targeting logic, allowing Fizz to better recognize enemies along his path and reducing cases of missed damage.

NIDALEE

Nidalee’s strong early-game damage and high mobility make her difficult to contest. Because of this, we’re nerfing some of her power in the earlier stages of the game so she can no longer dominate the jungle too freely.

Pounce (Aspect of the Cougar)

  • Base Damage: 80/115/150/185 → 65/100/135/170 (Based on the level of ability 4 Aspect of the Cougar)

  • Killing an enemy in Cougar Form or using this ability on a Hunted target reduces its cooldown to 2/1.75/1.5/1.25s → 2.75/2.25/1.75/1.25s

VAYNE

Tumble

  • Deal Bonus Damage: 40/50/60/70% Attack Damage → 35/45/55/65% Attack Damage

Final Hour

  • Gain Attack Damage: 20/30/40 → 15/25/35

SMOLDER

Smolder’s been breathing a little too much fire too early, so we’ve cooled off his early-game damage and slowed the pace of his overall growth.

Super Scorcher Breath

  • Cooldown: 4.5/4/3.5/3s → 5.5/5/4.5/4s

Achooo!

  • Sneeze Blast Damage: 35/60/85/110 + 65% Bonus Attack Damage + 80% Ability Power → 10/35/60/85+55%Bonus Attack Damage + 80% Ability Power

ZILEAN

We’re taking some time off Zilean’s early power, which will create clearer moments for his foes to strike between cooldowns.

Chronoshift

  • Cooldown: 90/80/70s → 100/85/70s

  • If the rune bearer does not trigger the rune’s revival effect, 15% → 10% of Chronoshift’s cooldown will be refunded.

ITEMS 

Runaan's Hurricane

We’re lowering the cost of Runaan’s Hurricane, so now when marksmen need to attack multiple targets, this item will be a solid pick up.

Base Stats

  • Price: 3000 Gold → 2900 Gold

Radiant Virtue

Radiant Virtue was providing excessively high team-wide healing, so we’re adjusting it. 

Guiding Light

  • Heal per second: 3% Max Health → 2.5% Max Health

Spear of Shojin

We’re reducing the base stats provided by Spear of Shojin. Our goal is to encourage you to choose this item based more on synergy with your champion’s kit, rather than purely for its strong cost efficiency.

Base Stats

  • Attack Damage: 45 → 40

Dragonforce

  • Gain 25 Base Ability Haste → Gain 20 Base Ability Haste

Psychic Projector

The Ability Power provided by Psychic Projector was higher than that of other mage items, causing champions that synergize with it to deal excessive damage in the mid to late game. Because of this, its damage stats have been reduced.

Conversion 

  • Gain Ability Power equal to 5% of bonus Health → Gain Ability Power equal to 3.5% of bonus Health


BUG FIXES

  • Fixed an issue where Morgana’s and Renekton’s change tags were incorrect.

  • Fixed an issue where Unshakeable granted incorrect bonus values when gaining both fixed resistances and scaling resistances at the same time.

  • Fixed an issue where the Magnetic Blaster status-bar icon was displayed incorrectly.

  • Fixed an issue where some item change tag text was incomplete.

  • Fixed an issue with the VFX presentation of Spirit Flower.

  • Fixed an issue where the first two waves of bottom-lane minions incorrectly received additional minion-vs-minion damage reduction.

  • Fixed an issue where riding a portal as it disappeared could cause a champion to become stuck.

  • Fixed an issue where some text on the Rift description page was incorrect.

  • Optimized the randomness of certain runes.

Bloodblade
  • 2 + 2% Bonus Attack Damage +1% Ability Power per second → 2 + 4% Bonus Attack Damage + 2% Ability Power per second

Blood Pact: Carnage
  • Gain 2.5% → 4% Omnivamp per 10% missing maximum Health; Maximum cap 20% → 32%

  • This change is also applied to Arena
