Everything you need to know about Supervillain Jinx

TLDR: We’re introducing a new skin tier and want to share a little bit about what you can expect. 

WHY

We’re introducing a brand new skin tier. Over the years, we have received a lot of positive feedback from you all about our skins. You’ve enjoyed the thematics we have explored and the visual effects we’ve done. Through creating all these skins, we developed a lot of ideas for potential other effects or things they would like to try out or add on to skins. However, we wanted to be consistent with our skins and their tiers. So, for new skins with more features than ever before, we needed to make a new tier, Awakened.

These skins will be loaded with new features that we’ve never implemented in Wild Rift. Things like special emotes that the champion makes to a special kill counter that we call, Unbound Ambition and more. Additionally, we won’t be just focusing on a single costume for the champion like we do now. Awakened will conceptually merge multiple costumes into one to tell a much bigger story. For example, with our first Awakened skin, we created three different costumes for Jinx to wear that will represent her throughout three different stages within the same universe. While these costumes will all be very distinct and unique, they are unified and connected together. Additionally, with this new tier, you’ll be able to choose which form to use in a game during the champ select phase. However, only forms you've unlocked can be used. Each form has a unique champion design, poster, and ability animations, in addition to the other new effects.

WHAT 

Our first Awakened skin will be Supervillan Jinx. She will feature three unique costumes, a new system of how to obtain them, and special features we’ve never had in-game before.

SUPERVILLAIN JINX FANTASY

Fantasy is the first costume of Supervillain Jinx. It will be in the Store until March 3, 2026, and you can purchase it for 1100 Wild Cores. Once you purchase, you’ll receive bonus skins, customization items like a border, avatar, and two poses. Plus with the purchase, you’ll unlock two events, the first being special login rewards and the second being the Path of Awakening.

PATH OF AWAKENING

Now, what is the Path of Awakening? This will be the main event where you will be able to unlock all of Supervillain Jinx’s Awakened costumes, special in-game effects, and exclusive items. Once you purchase the initial skin, Path of Awakening will be available until December 31, 2026. However, remember to look at the sale date in-game for Supervillain Jinx Fantasy. Once it goes away you won’t be able to purchase the base skin and unlock Path of Awakening.

Participating in Path of Awakening is simple, just use your Awakening Coins to earn Awakening Points. You can purchase Awakening Coins daily and 10 Awakening Coins will grant you Awakening Points. The major milestones range from 600 to 10,000 Awakening Points and each milestone correlates with a reward. 

We’ll have more detailed information on the milestone breakdowns in-game and in an upcoming article from our Player Support team, but for now, let's dive into the rest of the Supervillain Jinx costumes!

SUPERVILLAIN JINX FRACTURE 

This is a Chroma skin that you will obtain from the first event: Supervillain Jinx Exclusive Login Rewards. After you purchase the base skin, no additional cost is required to earn this Mythic Chroma!

SUPERVILLAIN JINX DEFIANCE 

Defiance is the second costume of Supervillain Jinx, in this form you can see our Supervillain ramping up and ready to wreck havoc on her foes. You can unlock it once you reach 600 Awakening Points. In-game, if you spend some of your other Awakening Points, you can also unlock a skin border upgrade, kill counter, button skin, mocking emotes, and special effects whenever you kill Baron or Dragon to go with this defiant costume! 

SUPERVILLAIN JINX DOOMBRINGER 

Doombringer is the third and final costume of Supervillain Jinx, she’s reached total madness, so stay out of her way. You’ll be able to get this skin by reaching the final milestone of the Path of Awakening, 6,500 Awakening Points.

There are many other features for the skin you can also unlock with Awakening Points, like a Crystal Breaking effect, Multi-kill easter eggs, kill special effects, super poster, Summoner’s Rift Statue, and so much more!  

OTHER FAQ’S 

Who will get Awakened skins? 

Our focus with Awakened skins won’t be about designing a large number for each champion. Instead, we will consider the same things we do when deciding which champion gets a skin in a new skinline. We’ll consider the champion’s popularity, existing skins for each champion, as well as what exciting features and story we could tell. 

Will there be an Awakened skin every patch?

No. Awakened skins are meant to be top notch from us, we want to put in our best effort and bring you top of the line features, VFX, design, and storytelling. To ensure we can produce these skins at the high quality bar we are setting, we will not frequently launch this type of skin. 

Will Awakened skins be available to obtain any time?

Currently, getting Awakened skins is tied to a limited time event that will last for a longer period of time than our current two week events for skins. Ideally, you’ll have at least half a year to get each Awakened skin.
