Main Event Information

The 2026 SMASH event will bring community champions, creators, and All-Stars together across three competition tracks over two days.

Community Championship Track

The Community Championship Track will feature six teams, each advancing from a major regional qualifier. The teams will be split into two groups of three and play a double round robin of best-of-one Summoner’s Rift matches. The top two teams from each group will advance to a four-team, single-elimination knockout stage.

In the knockout stage, Group A’s first-place team will face Group B’s second-place team, while Group B’s first-place team will face Group A’s second-place team. Both matches will be best-of-three, and the winners will advance to the Community Championship final on Day 2, also a best-of-three.

Creator Show Match

The Creator Show Match will feature seven teams: one creator squad from six regions: Brazil, China, Korea, the Philippines, Vietnam, Turkey, and our Global Team. The teams will be split into groups of three and four, playing a single round robin for nine matches total. Each match will include one AAA ARAM game and one other mode game from our pool of modes. The AAA ARAM winner will draw a Fun Mode for the teams to play.

The six-mode mode pool will include:

  • Jungle Speed Race: Two players race through a set jungle route, from Blue Buff to Red Buff. The player with the shorter time when Red Buff is slain wins.
  • Dr. Mundo Infected Cleaver Brawl: Two teams of five face off in the Baron Pit using only Dr. Mundo’s Q, Infected Cleaver. Items, Summoner Spells, other abilities, and leaving the River area are not allowed. The match lasts about five minutes, and the last surviving team wins.
  • 4 Protect 1 Hide-and-Seek: Each five-player team has one VIP and four Bodyguards. The VIP gets 30 seconds to hide before the Bodyguards search for the opposing VIP. If neither VIP is eliminated after five minutes, they face off in a River 1v1.
  • 3v3 Hook Wars: Six players all play Blitzcrank and can use only Rocket Grab and basic attacks. Pulling an enemy into your team’s turret range earns a point; after five minutes, the team with the higher score wins.
  • Turbocharged Rift and a 1v1 mode will also be in the draw.

All-Star Show Match

The All-Star Show Match will feature two teams competing across two rounds. Each round will include an AAA ARAM best-of-two, scheduled for about an hour, and another match from our pool of mode matches mentioned, scheduled for about 15 minutes. The roster pool will include two guest participants, players from each of the seven Creator Track teams, and two audience players selected through the Battle Tent. In the Battle Tent, participants will play AAA ARAM and game MVPs will be recorded. MVPs can apply for a spot; the event team will randomly select two players from the applicants to compete on Day 2.
