We are in the homerun of patch 5.1 now! Let’s see what we have in store for you.

We’re on to the last phase of 5.1! While Maokai’s still our MVP, off the bench come more rotating game modes for you to try out, as well as your regularly scheduled champion changes, item changes, and the long-fabled Summoner Spells changes?! Welcome to patch 5.1d!

It’s raining gold! For a limited time, head over to ARURF for increased gold and XP. Don’t spend it all at once!

ARURF x Gold Rush will be available on July 1.

Shopping in the fountain is so last patch, so how about we all channel our inner Ornn and start shopping EVERYWHERE. After all, who’s gonna stop us?

CHAMPION CHANGES

BRAND

In contrast to other mages, Brand can deal a massive amount of damage in a very short time, making it hard for his opponent to deal with. These changes will give his enemies an opportunity to catch their breath.

Pillar of Flame

  • Damage: 70/125/180/235 + 55% Ability Power → 70/120/170/220 + 55% Ability Power

Conflagration

  • Damage: 60/90/120/150 + 50% Ability Power → 60/90/120/150 + 45% Ability Power

FIORA

Our Grand Duelist has been less than grand in lane and team fights. We’re boosting her damage to make sure she’s up to fighting her way back into the spotlight.

Duelist's Dance

  • Damage dealt by hitting Vitals:  3.5% (+ 5.5% per 100 bonus physical attack) target’s maximum Health → 4% (+ 6% per 100 bonus physical attack) target’s maximum Health

Lunge

  • Damage: 85/95/100/115 + 100/105/110/115% bonus Attack Damage → 85/95/100/115 + 110/115/120/125% bonus Attack Damage

Bladework

  • Mana consumption: 40/45/50/55 → 30/35/40/45

GRAVES

Graves has been underwhelming both in clear speed and damage to opponents. These changes will make sure he’s able to keep up.

End of the Line

  • Cooldown: 13/11/9/7s → 11.5/10/8.5/7s

  • Initial Damage: 55/75/95/115 + 80% bonus Attack Damage → 70/90/110/130 + 80% bonus Attack Damage

  • Damage ratio to monsters: 90% → 105%

Quickdraw

  • Bonus armor from True Grit: 6/10/14/18 → 8/14/20/26

  • Maximum stack: 8 → 6

JAYCE

Jayce has been dominating especially in the early and mid game. These changes will make sure he’s more in line with his opponents.

SHOCK BLAST

  • Damage: 70/140/210/280/350 + 140% bonus Attack Damage → 65/130/195/260/325 + 140% bonus Attack Damage

KAI'SA

Kai’Sa is a multi talent when it comes to doing it all: capable of dealing lots of damage while retaining high mobility. We want players to make more conscious decisions when playing her, especially when it comes to positioning.

Supercharge

  • Additional Movement Speed: 60/65/70/75% + 100% Attack Speed → 50/55/60/65% + 80% Attack Speed

  • Additional Attack Speed: 45/55/65/75% → 40/50/60/70%

KATARINA

Unlike her fellow assassins, Katarina’s daggers have been failing to reach their target. We’re tweaking some numbers around so she can strike true on her enemies.

Voracity

  • Damage: 40 + 10 per champion level + 100% bonus Attack Damage + 33% Ability Power → 40 + 13 per champion level + 100% bonus Attack Damage + 33% Ability Power

Shunpo

  • Damage: 20/45/70/95 + 50% Attack Damage + 25%Ability Power → 20/50/80/110 + 50% Attack Damage + 30% Ability Power

MAOKAI

Our newest addition to the Rift might’ve had too much mulch for lunch. His Health Regen is through the roof. We’re just making sure he doesn’t outgrow his roots.

Base Stats

  • Base Armor: 46 → 43

  • Base Attack Damage: 70 → 66

Sap Magic

  • Health regeneration: 2~30 + 5~13.5% maximum Health → 2~30 + 4~12% maximum Health

Bramble Smash

  • Damage: 70/130/190/250 + 50% Ability Power → 60/120/180/240 + 50% Ability Power

Twisted Advance

  • Root Duration: 0.8/1/1.2/1.4s → 0.8/0.95/1.1/1.25s

  • Cooldown: 12/11/10/9s → 13/12/11/10s

NASUS

Nasus is the ultimate late game scale champ, but it can be unsatisfying when the game ends before you even reach your final form. We’re giving a boost to the damage you gain from Siphoning Strike to help you get there faster.

Base Stats

  • Base Mana Regen: 12 → 14

Siphoning Strike

  • Damage increase when killing target: 4 → 5

  • Damage increase when taking down champions, large minions, and large monsters: 8 → 10

THRESH

Thresh has pretty high base damage making him hard to deal with in lane. We’re making sure he maintains his strength but not unreasonably so.

Base Stats

  • Base Attack Damage: 58 → 54

Damnation

  • Slightly lowered the rate of minions dropping Souls

TRYNDAMERE

Our King of the North has been rampaging through Jungle and lanes alike. We’re tweaking his numbers to make sure he still stays down to earth.

Battle Fury

  • Attack Speed gained by attacking champions: 55% → 35%

Bloodlust

  • Bonus Attack Damage: 10/15/20/25 → 7/12/17/22

Undying Rage

  • Bonus Attack Speed from Battle Fury: 60/65/70% → 45/55/65%

TWISTED FATE

Pick a card, any card! Red card? Tons of damage. Blue card? Tons of damage. Yellow card? You guessed it: tons of damage! Maybe Twisted Fate has been doing a bit too much damage lately. These changes will make sure he’s not running amok on the Rift.

  • Damage of the red card: 30/50/70/90 + 65% Ability Power + 100% Attack Damage → 30/50/70/90 + 60% Ability Power + 100% Attack Damage

  • Damage of the blue card: 40/65/90/115 + 80% Ability Power + 100% Attack Damage → 40/65/90/115 + 75% Ability Power + 100% Attack Damage

Stacked Deck

  • Passive damage: 60/90/120/150 + 45% Ability Power → 50/80/110/140 + 45% Ability Power

  • Active Attack Speed gained: 40/45/50/55% → 30/35/40/45%

VARUS

Varus has been enjoying all the different AP items available. We’ve updated his AD scaling to allow you to explore all the diverse range of builds.

Piercing Arrow

  • Damage:  (20/70/120/170 + 115% Attack Damage) to  (30/105/180/255 + 172.5% Attack Damage) →  (20/70/120/170 + 125% Attack Damage) to (30/105/180/255 + 187.5% Attack Damage)

WARWICK

Warwick has been hitting like a wet paper towel. We are leaning into his Health Regen and making sure he’ll be able to stay in fights for longer and better.

Base Stats

  • Base Armor: 35 → 40

  • Armor Growth per Level: 3.9 → 4.3

Jaws of the Beast

  • Damage: 120% Attack Damage + 100% Ability Power + 7/8/9/10% target’s maximum Health → 130% Attack Damage + 100% Ability Power + 7/8/9/10% target’s maximum Health

  • Health Regen: 37.5/50/62.5/75% damage dealt → 42.5/55/67.5/80% damage dealt

TERMINUS

Terminus is granting a lot more value for its cost than intended. We’re bringing it back in line with other items. 

Price

  • 3200g → 3400g

SUMMONER SPELLS

HEAL

Heal’s cooldown is relatively long which makes it a less tempting option, especially when it’s competing for a slot against offensive Summoner Spells like Ignite. We’re adjusting the cooldown and Health Regen so it can be an attractive pickup for champions that need extra survivability. 

Cooldown

  • 130s → 110s

Health Regen

  • 90~370 → 100~390

BARRIER

Barrier is in the same boat as Heal, so it’s getting a similar fix.

  • 100~450 → 110~450
