All You Need To Know: Wild Rift Champions SEA 2022 Overview
Today Riot Games APAC announces the details to its inaugural season of the Wild Rift Champions SEA (WCS), commencing on February 25th and spanning across six competitive regions in Southeast Asia, Taiwan, and Hong Kong. The new season of this cross-regional league will feature invited teams from last season’s Wild Rift SEA Icon Series, and newly qualified teams competing at the highest levels of play.
The six local competitive leagues in Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines, Vietnam, Malaysia & Singapore, and Taiwan & Hong Kong (known as WCS Masters), will play for five weeks in a best-of-three double round robin regular season. The top six teams will advance to the WCS Playoffs and will play in the two-week, double-elimination playoffs from April 1st - 10th. The winning teams in the playoffs will represent their region in the WCS Finals -- the final pan-regional showdown that will determine the best teams in the region. These four teams will then represent us in the Wild Rift Icons Global Championship taking place in Europe this Summer!
