RIOT GAMES SOUTHEAST ASIA UNVEILS 2021 LEAGUE OF LEGENDS: WILD RIFT SOUTHEAST ASIA ICON SERIES: PRESEASON
Riot Games Southeast Asia today announced the League of Legends: Wild Rift Southeast Asia Icon Series: Preseason, a five weekend-long regional tournament for its newly released competitive mobile multiplayer online battle arena (MMOBA) - League of Legends: Wild Rift. The seven location-specific tournament circuits, where teams will be competing for the title of local champion, will showcase the greatness and skill of Wild Rift players and teams across Southeast Asia. After preseason, players in the region have a chance to compete in the Wild Rift Southeast Asia Icon Series: Summer season, a eight week-long competition where any team may join to compete to be the best in their region and go onto our pan-regional tournaments to compete to be the first regional champions.

With them, we aim to showcase the quality of performance, level of creativity and sheer resilience of the teams who will shape the competitive scene across Southeast Asia. We hope that teams and fans alike will enjoy this tailored experience of high-stakes Wild Rift competition.”
The Wild Rift Southeast Asia Icon Series: Preseason will kick off on February 26th, and features three-day long weekend tournaments in the Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand, Taiwan, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Singapore. We will deliver exciting entertainment and experiences to each region by working closely with our regional esports partners. Together, we will elevate and showcase the best Southeast Asia talent and teams. The full list of dates for each regional tournament is listed below -

The Wild Rift SEA Icon Series will be the first tournament produced by Riot Games Southeast Asia in partnership with our regional partners, and will be an important foundational step to establishing the regional legacy Southeast Asian players and teams can bring to the global mobile MOBA esports scene.
