Wild Rift Patch Notes 2.4d

The final balance patch of the 2.4 cycle addresses Zed’s dominance and we’ve got some adjustments coming for some of our other support outliers: Blitzcrank, Thresh, and Senna. We’re laying low in this final balance patch before the release of 2.5 in October!

CHAMPION CHANGES

BLITZCRANK Image

BLITZCRANK

While other tank supports have seen wins from the 2.4c buffs to Zeke’s Convergence, Blitzcrank is still performing below expectations, particularly for skilled players. We are reducing the cost and increasing the power of Blitzcrank’s mobility tool to give skilled robot pilots more room to work with.

    • Movement speed bonus: 70/75/80/85% → 75/80/85/90%

DR. MUNDO

Mundo has been particularly dominant in the jungle, so we’re slowing his clear speed and the health regen he gains from (Ult) Sadism. We’re also increasing his health regen per level to ensure he remains a solid pick in the Baron Lane.

    • Health regen per level: 0.81 → 1.07
      • Health regen at level 15: 21 → 24

    • Maximum damage vs monsters: 270/330/390/450 → 125/200/275/350

SENNA

Senna currently outshines other marksman champions in Elite level play due to her powerful scaling with Mist stacks. To bring her in line with other marksmen, we are reducing the rate that Mist Wraiths spawn when Senna kills a minion.

THRESH

We’ve been cautiously buffing Thresh over time due to his high-skillcap gameplay, but he is still performing below our expectations. We are giving him a bit more reason to care about collecting souls with some extra basic attack damage.

    • (Passive) Bonus basic attack damage granted per soul: 1 → 2
XAYAH Image

XAYAH

It’s been a struggle for Xayah on recent patches, particularly with changes to the Dragon Lane metagame and nerfs to her synergy with Rakan. We’re giving her some additional AD per level in order to bolster her damage throughout the game, particularly later on where she should have more success.

    • Attack Damage per level: 2.65 → 3.6
      • Attack Damage at level 15: 102 → 115

ZED

Zed is overperforming, even when he doesn’t land his shurikens. We’re cutting down on his consistent damage in order to make Zed’s success more about landing the right spells at the right time.

    Ben “Draggles” Forbes is the comms lead on Wild Rift. He mains support, is from the UK, and… there’s probably a third thing but we can’t think of one right now.

    Alex “Wav3Break” Huang is the Lead Balance Designer on Wild Rift. Previously, he worked on League PC’s champions and balance for five seasons. Alex has been a core member in Wild Rift’s development from the early stages, and is also the primary controls designer.
